At ITO Coatings we believe that we offer the very best ITO coated glass slides available worldwide. We have developed a range of specifically designed, premium-quality ITO coated glass slides for research & development applications.
ITO Glass Slides
Using soda lime float glass with a thickness of 1.1 mm and a high-quality ITO coating (resistivity: 1.6 x 10-6 Ohm.m) we have enhanced our glass slides further by applying a specially developed 25 nm thick barrier coating of silicon oxide (SiO2).
Soda Lime Float Glass
Soda lime float glass is the most popular material used in the production of glass slides, largely due to its low manufacturing costs. We can offer the glass as standard and also either thermally or chemically toughened and can supply cut to specific sizes if required.
Not Just Any Glass Slide…
We feel this is where we are a cut above the rest. Our specially developed SiO2 layer is positioned between the glass and the ITO coating to inhibit sodium (Na) ions diffusing out of the soda lime glass.
Soda lime glass slides with ITO that do not have a barrier of silicon oxide will see deterioration of the ITO coating which will impact the performance of the slide and shorten its lifespan. The SiO2 layer is available as an optional extra for our glass slides, so please get in touch with us directly if you would prefer this enhanced feature for your slides.
ITO Slides From ITO Coatings
Our ITO coated slides are currently available in three different grades:
- Standard 88% Transmittance,15 Ohm/sq ITO Coating
- Standard 82% Transmittance, 5 Ohm/sq ITO Coating
- OLED Grade 86% Transmittance, 15 Ohm/sq ITO Coating
The OLED grade option features a smoother surface than that of the standard options.

We currently stock a range of standard slide sizes including:
25 x 25mm
25 x 75mm
50 x 75mm
Other sizes to meet specific customer requirements can also be provided on request. Please note that the maximum size available is 400mm x 500mm. We also supply ITO coverslips, which you can view here.
